Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 is slightly better than Asus Fonepad 7, having a overall score of 63.4 against 58.9. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a noticeably heavier but somewhat thinner portable tablet than Asus Fonepad 7. Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Asus Fonepad 7 comes with Android 5.0 operating system.
The Asus Fonepad 7 has a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a really smaller display and a much lower 1280 x 800 pixels resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a much better storage capacity for games and applications than Asus Fonepad 7, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
Asus Fonepad 7 has a bit more powerful processor than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and a Quad-Core CPU, the Asus Fonepad 7 also has a 64 bits CPU. The Microsoft Surface 2's battery life is just as good as Asus Fonepad 7's battery life. The Microsoft Surface 2's camera is very similar to the Asus Fonepad 7 one, both have the same video resolution, the same video frame rate and a camera in the back with a 5 mega pixels resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus Fonepad 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus Fonepad 7. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Asus Fonepad 7, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
