The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) is just a bit better than Asus Fonepad 7, having a global score of 60.7 against 58.9. Asus Fonepad 7 counts with a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster), more RAM and a 64-bit CPU. The Asus Fonepad 7 counts with just a bit better display than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a same size screen, the Asus Fonepad 7 also has a better number of pixels per inch of screen and a better resolution of 1280 x 800px.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) shoots a bit better photos and videos than Asus Fonepad 7, although it has a lot worse video quality and a lot worse 3 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus Fonepad 7, because although it has an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage.

So if you want that extra features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Asus Fonepad 7, letting go some specs and features.
