Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than Asus Fonepad 8, getting a 67.9 score against 55.6. Both of these tablets have the same Android 4.4 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding that. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's design is heavier but somewhat thinner than Asus Fonepad 8.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little better performance than Asus Fonepad 8. Both have a 2 GB RAM and 4 cores. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much more vibrant display than Asus Fonepad 8, because it has a much higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a bit larger screen and way more pixels per inch in the screen.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than Asus Fonepad 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity. The Asus Fonepad 8 and the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 both have incredibly similar batteries.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better camera than Asus Fonepad 8, because it has a camera with a lot higher resolution.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Asus Fonepad 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus Fonepad 8. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Asus Fonepad 8, resigning some features and specs.
