Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is much better than the Asus Fonepad 8, getting a overall score of 63 against 55.6. Both of these tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE has the newer 4.4.2 version while Asus Fonepad 8 has Android 4.4. The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE body has the same thickness than the Asus Fonepad 8, but it's noticeably heavier.

The Asus Fonepad 8 has just a bit better display than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, because although it has a much smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Asus Fonepad 8 also counts with a greater pixels quantity in each display inch. Asus Fonepad 8 has a little faster processor than Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE. Both have a 2 GB RAM and the same number of cores.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as the Asus Fonepad 8 one, both have an external SD slot that holds up to 64 GB and the same 16 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's battery duration is very similar to Asus Fonepad 8's battery duration.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE's camera is very similar to the Asus Fonepad 8 one, both of them have the same resolution back-facing camera.

Although Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus Fonepad 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Asus Fonepad 8. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus Fonepad 8, giving up some specs and features.
