Comparison review

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is just a bit better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, with a overall score of 61.2 against 60.8. Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has the newer 4.4 version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2, so it gives you some extra features. Even though the Asus MeMO Pad 8 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 were released with only 8 months difference, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 is just a bit lighter and thinner.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a brighter screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have the same exact 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with just a little better performance than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have 4 cores and the same RAM amount, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 also has an extra graphics processing unit.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 takes much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a slightly better memory to store more apps and games than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a battery performance that is just as good as the battery lifetime in Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Asus MeMO Pad 8, else you can save some money and buy the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, resigning a couple specs and features.
