The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is much better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8, getting a global score of 69.2 against 61.2. Although it's the best in this review, we must highlight that it is also older, somewhat heavier and a bit thicker. Both tablets in our current comparison come with Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has 4.4.2 version and Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4, so it gives some extra features and performance tweaks.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features a bit more powerful CPU than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and although they both have the same RAM amount and 4 cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra graphics processor. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a much better 1920 x 1200 resolution and a better screen density.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8. They have the same video frame rate, the same (HD) video resolution and a 5 mega pixels resolution camera. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has 16 GB more internal storage.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 counts with a really longer battery duration than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
Galaxy Note 8.0 costs a lot more than Asus MeMO Pad 8, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
