The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has a general score of 61.7, which is just a bit better than Asus MeMO Pad 8's 61.2 general score. Both tablets we compare here include Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE has an older 4.1 version while Asus MeMO Pad 8 has Android 4.4 version. Even being the best tablet in this comparison review, the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE is an older, heavier and way thicker tablet than the Asus MeMO Pad 8.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because it has a lot better 1920 x 1200 resolution, a lot more pixels per display inch and a bit larger screen. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a much better storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 64 GB, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has 32 GB internal memory.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a bit more powerful processor than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and also faster). Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE features a much longer battery life than Asus MeMO Pad 8.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) LTE takes clearer photos and videos than Asus MeMO Pad 8, although it has a way worse resolution back facing camera and a worse 1280x720 (HD) video quality.
