The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is way better than Asus Transformer Pad 300, getting a general score of 67.9 against 54.5. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a much newer portable tablet, and it's also extremely thinner and way lighter than Asus Transformer Pad 300. Both of these tablets use Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version while Asus Transformer Pad 300 has Android 4.2.2 version, counting with a couple nice extra features.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features an incredibly better screen than Asus Transformer Pad 300, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much better pixel density. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little bit better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus Transformer Pad 300, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little better performance than Asus Transformer Pad 300, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, and they both have 4 cpu cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a battery performance that is just as good as the battery duration in Asus Transformer Pad 300.

Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a camera that's very similar to the Asus Transformer Pad 300 one, both have the same video frame rates, a F2.2 diafragm aperture, the same (Full HD) video resolution and a back-facing camera with an 8 megapixels resolution.
