Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a global score of 62.8, which is much better than the Asus Transformer Pad 300's 54.5 overall score. Galaxy Tab A 8.0's design is extremely newer, lighter and way thinner than Asus Transformer Pad 300. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version while Asus Transformer Pad 300 has Android 4.2.2, providing some additional features and performance tweaks.

The Asus Transformer Pad 300 features a bit better processing unit than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Asus Transformer Pad 300 also counts with an extra GPU. Asus Transformer Pad 300 counts with a little bit better screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little bit less pixels per screen inch, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a bigger display.

Asus Transformer Pad 300 shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a lot better video quality and a way better resolution back camera. Asus Transformer Pad 300 has just a bit bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an external memory slot that supports 96 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a way better battery life than Asus Transformer Pad 300.
