Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is way better than the Asus Transformer Prime, getting a overall score of 76.9 against 54.8. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a more recent 4.4 version while Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, so it offers some additional features and performance tweaks. The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 design is notably newer and incredibly thinner, but notably heavier than the Asus Transformer Prime.
Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 features a better performing CPU than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 also has a graphics co-processor and more RAM memory. Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has a much more vibrant display than Asus Transformer Prime, because it has a way greater pixels amount per screen inch, a bigger display and a lot better resolution of 1600 x 2560px.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has slightly more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 also has an external memory slot that admits up to 64 GB. Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 counts with a much longer battery life than Asus Transformer Prime.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2's camera is very similar to the Asus Transformer Prime one, and although the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 has faster 60 fps video frame rates, they both have a 8 mega pixels resolution camera in the back and the same 1920x1080 video resolution.
Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is a bit more expensive than the Asus Transformer Prime, but it's still a great choice, as you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
