Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a general score of 58.1, which is just a bit better than Asus Transformer Prime's 56.3 overall score. Both tablets we compare here have Android OS, but Galaxy Tab 8.9 has the older 3.0 version and Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3. Even when Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Asus Transformer Prime were released only 8 months apart, Galaxy Tab 8.9 is noticeably lighter and thinner.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a bit more vivid display than Asus Transformer Prime, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also counts with a just a bit greater pixels density. The Asus Transformer Prime features a bit superior processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 2 more cores.

The Asus Transformer Prime features a quite bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory, the Asus Transformer Prime also has a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 32 GB. Asus Transformer Prime shoots way better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a lot higher video resolution and a much better 8 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a very superior battery performance than Asus Transformer Prime.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 not only is the best tablets in our comparison, but it's also a bargain compared to others.
