Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a little bit better than Asus Transformer Prime, with a global score of 57.6 against 56.3. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and Asus Transformer Prime has Android 4.0.3 version, so it gives some extra features and performance enhancements. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is a noticeably newer portable tablet, and it's also notably thinner and way lighter than the Asus Transformer Prime.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a more vivid screen than Asus Transformer Prime, because although it has a really smaller screen, it also counts with a much better display density and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920px. The Asus Transformer Prime counts with a very superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD, because although it has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD has a bit better hardware performance than Asus Transformer Prime, because it has a larger number of cores and more RAM memory. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD features a very superior battery duration than Asus Transformer Prime. The Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD shoots better videos and photos than Asus Transformer Prime, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 video definition and a 8 mega-pixels resolution back camera, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD also has a larger camera aperture for better photos and videos in low light environments.

In addition to being the best tablet in our current comparison, the Verizon Ellipsis 8 HD is also a bargain compared to others, making this tablet a great choice.
