Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way better than the Asus VivoTab 8, getting a general score of 72.2 against 55.6. Both devices in our current comparison use Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a more recent 8.1 Pro version while Asus VivoTab 8 has Windows 8.1 version, so it gives some additional features. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 construction is noticeably heavier and a little bit thicker than Asus VivoTab 8.
The Asus VivoTab 8 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a greater number of cores. Asus VivoTab 8 features a bit better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a much lower resolution of 1280 x 800, a really smaller screen and a just a little worse screen pixel density.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 captures much better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a way bigger memory to store more apps and games than Asus VivoTab 8, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a battery lifetime that's just as good as the battery life in Asus VivoTab 8.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way more expensive than Asus VivoTab 8, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
