Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab Active has an overall score of 67, which is a lot better than the Asus VivoTab 8's 55.6 general score. Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 OS, and Asus VivoTab 8 works with Windows 8.1 OS. Despite being the best we are comparing here, the Galaxy Tab Active is a somewhat heavier and a little bit thicker tablet than Asus VivoTab 8.
Asus VivoTab 8 features a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab Active. Both have a greater number of pixels per inch of screen, a screen with the same size and the same exact 1280 x 800 resolution. Asus VivoTab 8 features a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have 4 processing cores, the Asus VivoTab 8 also counts with 512 MB more RAM.
Galaxy Tab Active counts with a very superior camera than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a way higher 3.1 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back. Asus VivoTab 8 features a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 64 GB, the Asus VivoTab 8 also has more internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab Active features a superior battery duration than Asus VivoTab 8.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is a lot more expensive than the Asus VivoTab 8, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
