Asus VivoTab 8 has just a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Asus VivoTab 8 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 64 GB.

Sony Tablet S shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a camera with a way higher resolution.

Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Asus VivoTab 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Asus VivoTab 8.
