Comparison review

Sony Vaio Tap 11 is much better than Asus VivoTab 8, getting a score of 66 against 55.6. Both tablets in this review come with Windows OS (Operating System), but Sony Vaio Tap 11 has 8 version while Asus VivoTab 8 has Windows 8.1 version. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 body is noticeably heavier and thicker than the Asus VivoTab 8.

Asus VivoTab 8 has a little better hardware performance than Sony Vaio Tap 11, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores. Sony Vaio Tap 11 has a screen that is very similar to the display in Asus VivoTab 8, although the Sony Vaio Tap 11 also has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a lot larger screen and a bit more pixels per display inch.

The Sony Vaio Tap 11 counts with much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Asus VivoTab 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a very superior battery duration than Asus VivoTab 8. The Sony Vaio Tap 11 features a much better camera than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a camera in the back with much more megapixels.

Although Sony Vaio Tap 11 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Asus VivoTab 8, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Asus VivoTab 8. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Vaio Tap 11, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Asus VivoTab 8, letting go some features and specs.
