Xperia Tablet S is just a bit better than Asus VivoTab 8, getting a 58.9 score against 55.6. Xperia Tablet S has Android 4.1.1 OS, and Asus VivoTab 8 works with Windows 8.1 OS. Despite being the best portable tablet we compare here, the Xperia Tablet S is a way heavier and notably thicker portable tablet than the Asus VivoTab 8.

Asus VivoTab 8 counts with a brighter display than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the Asus VivoTab 8 also counts with a little better pixels density. The Sony Xperia Tablet S counts with a superior storage to store more games and applications than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB.

The Asus VivoTab 8 counts with a little bit better performance than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processor, and they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Asus VivoTab 8 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory. Sony Xperia Tablet S has a battery life that's very similar to the Asus VivoTab 8 one.

The Xperia Tablet S features a much better camera than Asus VivoTab 8, because it has a back camera with way more mega-pixels.
