Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is much better than Asus VivoTab Note 8, having a 65.1 score against 57.5. Both of these tablets have Windows operating system, but Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has newer 8.1 Pro version and Asus VivoTab Note 8 has Windows 8.1 version. Even being the best device we are comparing, Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a incredibly heavier and somewhat thicker device than Asus VivoTab Note 8.
The Asus VivoTab Note 8 has a slightly better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, although it has a way smaller display, a lot worse 1280 x 800px resolution and a bit lower number of pixels per inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with much more memory to install applications and games than Asus VivoTab Note 8, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 448 GB more internal storage.
The Asus VivoTab Note 8 features a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a greater number of cores. The Asus VivoTab Note 8 shoots much clearer videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2's battery performance is just as good as the battery life in Asus VivoTab Note 8.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is not only the best tablets in our current comparison, but it's also the cheapest one, making this tablet a very good choice.
