Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is much better than the Asus VivoTab Note 8, having a score of 66.7 against 57.5. Both tablets we are comparing come with Windows operating system, but Samsung Ativ Tab has a more recent RT version while Asus VivoTab Note 8 has Windows 8.1, offering a couple additional features. Samsung Ativ Tab's design is thinner but extremely heavier than Asus VivoTab Note 8.
Asus VivoTab Note 8 features a bit better CPU than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Asus VivoTab Note 8 also counts with more cores. Asus VivoTab Note 8 has a much better display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit lower 1280 x 800 resolution, it also counts with a quite higher pixels number in each inch of screen.
The Samsung Ativ Tab captures a bit better pictures and videos than Asus VivoTab Note 8. They have the same resolution back camera. Samsung Ativ Tab features a very superior storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus VivoTab Note 8. They have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Asus VivoTab Note 8.
Samsung Ativ Tab is way more expensive than the Asus VivoTab Note 8, but you can get a better tablet for that extra dollars.
