Sony Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Asus VivoTab Note 8, having a overall score of 68.5 against 57.5. Sony Xperia Tablet Z's construction is heavier but much thinner than the Asus VivoTab Note 8. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with Android 4.4.4 OS, while Asus VivoTab Note 8 counts with Windows 8.1 OS.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z counts with a bit better looking screen than Asus VivoTab Note 8, because it has a just a little greater count of pixels per inch of screen, a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a bigger display. Asus VivoTab Note 8 counts with a little bit better storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.

The Xperia Tablet Z and Asus VivoTab Note 8 have extremely similar processors, and although the Xperia Tablet Z has an extra GPU, they both have 2 GB of RAM memory and 4 processing cores.
