Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab RT has an overall score of 61, which is a little bit better than the Dell Venue 8 7840's general score of 61. Although it's the best in this comparison review, Asus VivoTab RT is a incredibly heavier and a lot thicker tablet than Dell Venue 8 7840. The Asus VivoTab RT has Windows RT OS, and Dell Venue 8 7840 counts with Android 4.4 OS.
The Dell Venue 8 7840 has a much better hardware performance than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and 4 cpu cores, the Dell Venue 8 7840 also has a 64-bits CPU and a graphics processing unit. The Dell Venue 8 7840 counts with a much sharper screen than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 2560 x 1600 resolution and a much greater pixel amount per display inch.
Asus VivoTab RT takes much clearer photos and videos than Dell Venue 8 7840. Both of them have a same resolution back facing camera. The Dell Venue 8 7840 features a little bit more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Asus VivoTab RT, although it has just 16 GB internal memory.
Dell Venue 8 7840 and Asus VivoTab RT both feature quite similar batteries performance.
Although Asus VivoTab RT is a better device, it costs a little more than Dell Venue 8 7840, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Dell Venue 8 7840. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Asus VivoTab RT, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Dell Venue 8 7840, resigning a couple features and specs.
