The Asus VivoTab RT is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT, with a 61 score against 58.4. Both devices in this review include the same Windows RT operating system. Asus VivoTab RT's design is incredibly lighter and somewhat thinner than Microsoft Surface RT, even though both were only released 0 months apart.
Microsoft Surface RT features just a little better processing power than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit and a 2 GB RAM, the Microsoft Surface RT also has a GPU. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a screen that is very similar to the display in Asus VivoTab RT, because although the Microsoft Surface RT has a little lower number of pixels per inch of display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 768 x 1366 pixels, it also counts with a little larger screen.
Asus VivoTab RT counts with a way better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Asus VivoTab RT also has a much more mega-pixels back facing camera. Microsoft Surface RT's memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is very similar to Asus VivoTab RT's one, and although the Microsoft Surface RT has no SD memory card expansion slot, they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory.
Microsoft Surface RT and Asus VivoTab RT feature quite similar batteries performance.
Although Asus VivoTab RT is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
