Asus VivoTab RT has a score of 61, which is just a bit better than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)'s 60.7 overall score. Asus VivoTab RT counts with Windows RT OS, while Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) works with Android 4.1 OS. Even though Asus VivoTab RT and the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) were released with only a couple of months difference, Asus VivoTab RT's design is somewhat thinner but also a lot heavier.
Asus VivoTab RT features a little bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has 2 more processing cores and more RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a little more vivid screen than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a way smaller display and a lot worse 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a little higher number of pixels in each inch in the display.
The Asus VivoTab RT captures better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels and a way higher 1920x1080 video quality. Asus VivoTab RT features a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 32 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a superior battery duration than Asus VivoTab RT.
Although Asus VivoTab RT is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab RT, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), giving up a couple features and specs.
