Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a a lot newer tablet, and it's also thinner and a lot lighter than the Asus VivoTab RT. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat OS, and Asus VivoTab RT comes with Windows RT OS.
