Samsung Galaxy Tab Active is just a bit better than Asus VivoTab RT, with a 67 score against 61. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has Android 4.4 OS, while Asus VivoTab RT works with Windows RT OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active body is way newer and much lighter, but also thicker than the Asus VivoTab RT.
The Galaxy Tab Active has a sharper display than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has a much smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 1280 x 800px, it also counts with a little greater pixels count in each inch of display. Asus VivoTab RT counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit better CPU than Asus VivoTab RT, because although it has 512 MB less RAM, and they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with an extra graphics processor. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active features a really longer battery performance than Asus VivoTab RT.
Asus VivoTab RT takes better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a lot better 8 megapixels resolution camera and a way higher 1920x1080 video quality.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus VivoTab RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus VivoTab RT. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Asus VivoTab RT, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
