Xperia Tablet Z is much better than Asus VivoTab RT, having a score of 68.5 against 61. The Xperia Tablet Z works with Android 4.4.4 OS, and Asus VivoTab RT works with Windows RT OS. Xperia Tablet Z is a thinner and a little lighter tablet than Asus VivoTab RT, even though they were only released 8 months apart.
The Xperia Tablet Z counts with a bit superior processor than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU and the same RAM amount, the Xperia Tablet Z also has an additional graphics processor. Xperia Tablet Z counts with a more vivid display than Asus VivoTab RT, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xperia Tablet Z also has a greater pixels density and a much better resolution of 1200 x 1920.
Asus VivoTab RT has a bit bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Sony Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. Xperia Tablet Z features a much longer battery duration than Asus VivoTab RT. The Asus VivoTab RT shoots much better pictures and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower video definition and a back facing camera with a worse 8 megapixels resolution.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Asus VivoTab RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus VivoTab RT. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Asus VivoTab RT, resigning a couple features and specs.
