Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro is slightly better than the Asus VivoTab Smart, with a overall score of 63.2 against 58.7. Even being the best portable tablet we compare here, Microsoft Surface Pro's body is incredibly thicker and a lot heavier than the Asus VivoTab Smart. Both of these tablets include Windows OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Pro has newer 8 Pro version and Asus VivoTab Smart has Windows 8.
Microsoft Surface Pro features a little bit better looking display than Asus VivoTab Smart, because it has a better pixels number in each inch in the display, a quite larger display and a better 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a little better hardware performance than Asus VivoTab Smart, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a better graphics processing unit working at 650 megahertz and a larger amount of RAM.
Microsoft Surface Pro features a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Asus VivoTab Smart, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface Pro's battery lifetime is very similar to Asus VivoTab Smart's battery life.
The Asus VivoTab Smart captures much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 video definition and a much more megapixels back camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus VivoTab Smart, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus VivoTab Smart. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, otherwise you can save some money and get the Asus VivoTab Smart, letting go a couple features and specifications.
