Comparison review
The Asus VivoTab Smart is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a general score of 58.7 against 58.4. Both of these devices include Windows OS (operating system), but the Asus VivoTab Smart has older 8 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT version. The Asus VivoTab Smart is a somewhat lighter but a little thicker tablet than the Microsoft Surface RT.
The Asus VivoTab Smart features just a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with a much better graphics processing unit running at 533 megahertz. Asus VivoTab Smart features a bit sharper screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have an equal 768 x 1366 resolution, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with a just a bit higher count of pixels per inch of display.
The Microsoft Surface RT has as much storage to install applications and games as the Asus VivoTab Smart, and although the Microsoft Surface RT has no SD memory slot, they both have exactly the same internal memory. Asus VivoTab Smart takes greater videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Asus VivoTab Smart also has a camera in the back with much more mega-pixels.
The Asus VivoTab Smart and the Microsoft Surface RT both have really similar battery performance.
Although Asus VivoTab Smart is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Asus VivoTab Smart, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up some specs and features.
