Xperia Tablet Z has an overall score of 68.5, which is much better than Asus VivoTab Smart's 58.7 score. The Xperia Tablet Z construction is way thinner and lighter than Asus VivoTab Smart. The Xperia Tablet Z counts with Android 4.4.4 operating system, while Asus VivoTab Smart comes with Windows 8 operating system.
The Asus VivoTab Smart has a bit superior CPU than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has an inferior number of cores , and they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Asus VivoTab Smart also counts with a better 533 MHz GPU. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z features a much better looking display than Asus VivoTab Smart, and although they both have a same size screen, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z also has a lot better 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a higher amount of pixels per inch in the display.
Asus VivoTab Smart captures much better photographs and videos than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower (Full HD) video definition and a back camera with a lower 8 mega pixels resolution. The Asus VivoTab Smart has a little bit more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
The Xperia Tablet Z has a really longer battery duration than Asus VivoTab Smart.
Although Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Asus VivoTab Smart, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Asus VivoTab Smart. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet Z, else you can save some money and buy the Asus VivoTab Smart, letting go some specifications.
