Comparison review
The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a lot better than Asus ZenPad Z8, getting a overall score of 77.4 against 61.9. Despite being the best in this review, GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s design is a lot older, heavier and a little thicker than the Asus ZenPad Z8. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Asus ZenPad Z8, because although it has less cores (although faster), it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and 1 GB more RAM memory.
Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with a brighter screen than Asus ZenPad Z8, because although it has a bit worse pixels density, it also counts with a slightly better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a larger screen. Asus ZenPad Z8 shoots much better photos and videos than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Both have the same resolution camera in the back, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rate.
GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a very superior memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ZenPad Z8, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity. Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a really longer battery duration than Asus ZenPad Z8, because it has a 76 percent bigger battery size.
