Comparison review
Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is slightly better than Asus ZenPad Z8, with a global score of 65.7 against 61.9. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) body is newer than Asus ZenPad Z8's, although it's somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker. Asus ZenPad Z8 features just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), and although they both have 2 GB of RAM, the Asus ZenPad Z8 also has 2 more CPU cores.
Asus ZenPad Z8 features a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017), because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot greater pixels quantity per display inch and a lot higher resolution of 1536 x 2048px. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has more memory capacity for games and applications than Asus ZenPad Z8, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal memory, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) shoots much better videos and photos than Asus ZenPad Z8, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution, a same resolution back camera and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) also has a bigger aperture. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) features a bit longer battery life than Asus ZenPad Z8, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4680mAh.
