Toshiba Excite Go has a global score of 45.6, which is a bit better than the Barnes & Noble Nook HD's general score of 41.8. Toshiba Excite Go is a heavier tablet than the Barnes & Noble Nook HD, but they have the same thickness. Both tablets in this review include Android OS, but the Toshiba Excite Go has 4.4 version while Barnes & Noble Nook HD has Android 4.0, giving lots of additional features and enhanced performance.

Toshiba Excite Go's processing unit is very similar to Barnes & Noble Nook HD's CPU, because although the Toshiba Excite Go has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have the same RAM amount, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores. Barnes & Noble Nook HD counts with a brighter display than Toshiba Excite Go, and although they both have a same size display, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD also has a greater number of pixels per screen inch and a way better 900 x 1440px resolution.

The Toshiba Excite Go shoots a lot better pictures and videos than Barnes & Noble Nook HD. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD features a little bit better storage for games and applications than Toshiba Excite Go, because although it has an external memory card slot that allows up to 32 GB against 128 GB, it also counts with 8 GB more internal memory capacity.

The Toshiba Excite Go's battery life is very similar to the Barnes & Noble Nook HD one.
