Microsoft Surface RT has a general score of 58.4, which is a lot better than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+'s 43.3 global score. Even though the Microsoft Surface RT and the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ were released only a couple of months apart, Microsoft Surface RT's construction is thinner but also heavier than the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+. The Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT operating system, while Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ has Android 4.0 operating system.

Microsoft Surface RT features just a little better processing power than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, because it has a much better 520 megahertz graphics processing unit, more cpu cores and more RAM memory. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ counts with a much better screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher display density and a much better resolution of 1280 x 1920.

Microsoft Surface RT features a way better camera than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+.
