Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is an outdated Android portable tablet launched in 2012, provisioned with a high speed Dual-Core processing unit ticking at 1500 MHz and a large 9-inches multi-touch display.
Barnes & Noble decided to design this tablet using a high-tech 1500 MHz Dual-Core CPU, included in the TI OMAP4470 system chip with only 1 GB of RAM memory which is a little disappointing for a device of this level. Collaborating with graphic intensive tasks, it also has a PowerVR SGX544 graphics processing unit clocking at 384 MHz. A great point of the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is its astonishing 32 GB internal storage memory and an external memory card slot, allowing you to install hundreds of apps without even thinking about how much memory is left.
Although the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is just 9.46" long and 6.41" wide, it still manages to pack a 9" screen. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is thin, but it's not close to being one of the thinnest portable tablets out there, with a thickness of 0.45". The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ isn't very light comparing with today standards, weighting 18.17 oz.
This tablet doesn't have any cameras.
This tablet includes a very good 9-inches screen with a 1280 x 1920 resolution, which makes it hard to see the pixels in the screen. Its screen uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This tablet features Wi-Fi capability (although it can't share it with other devices around, acting as a wireless modem). This tablet doesn't have a SIM card, because it doesn't work with GSM services.
Barnes & Noble offers this tablet for 129 dollars, which is very expensive for comparing with similar portable tablets. If you buy the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ you also get NOOK Tablet, Quick Start Guide, Power Adapter and USB Cable.
