Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is an outdated Android tablet released some years ago, in 2012, which counts with an enormous 9 inches touch-screen and an exceptional Dual-Core processor running at 1.5 gigahertz. Let's take a closer look at what this tablet device can do.
Barnes & Noble decided to power this tablet using a TI OMAP4470 chip, packing an extremely powerful 1500 megahertz Dual-Core CPU and only 1 GB RAM memory which is a little low considering its impressive processing power. Graphic calculations generally consume lots of CPU time, so it has a PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit speeding at 384 megahertz to take care of them, leaving the CPU free for other tasks. A nice point of this tablet is the 16 GB quite big internal storage memory and an SD memory card expansion slot, which allows the user to install hundreds of games and apps without running out of space.
This tablet's thickness , 0.45", is quite far from today's standards, but it still feels quite right in the hand. Whereas the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ is only 9.46 inches long, it's still able to fit a a 9" screen. Barnes & Noble didn't seem to put much effort to reduce weight in this 18.17 ounces tablet.
The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ has no cameras at all.
This tablet has a good looking 1280 x 1920 9-inches display, which makes all images and videos look beautiful. Its display uses IPS LCD capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch gestures.
This device provides wi-fi connection (although it can't share it with other devices as a mobile hotspot). This tablet doesn't use a sim card, because it isn't a GSM enabled tablet device.
This tablet is not a very good choice considering it is sold for 219 dollars, and some similar devices are offerred way cheaper than that. This tablet is packed with Quick Start Guide, Power Adapter, USB Cable and NOOK Tablet.
