Comparison review

The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a global score of 67.4, which is much better than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+'s overall score of 42.3. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a noticeably lighter and way thinner device than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, even though they were released with only 8 months difference. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has the newer 4.2.2 version while Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ has Android 4.0, providing the user lots of additional features and increased performance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a bit better processing power than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has more RAM and a better 1064 megahertz graphics processing unit. The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ counts with a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a greater quantity of pixels per inch in the display, a much better resolution of 1280 x 1920px and a little bigger screen.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little bit more memory to store more games and applications than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 64 GB. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a much longer battery performance than Barnes & Noble Nook HD+.
