Sony Tablet P is much better than the BlackBerry 4G PlayBook, getting a overall score of 55.7 against 48.3. The Sony Tablet P works with Android 4.0.3 operating system, and BlackBerry 4G PlayBook comes with BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system. Although Sony Tablet P and BlackBerry 4G PlayBook were released only 4 months apart, Sony Tablet P's design is much thicker but just a little bit lighter than BlackBerry 4G PlayBook.

The Sony Tablet P features a bit sharper screen than BlackBerry 4G PlayBook, because although it has a really smaller display and a little bit lower 480 x 1024px resolution, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen. The Sony Tablet P counts with a much bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than BlackBerry 4G PlayBook, because it has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB.

Sony Tablet P and BlackBerry 4G PlayBook feature very similar processors, both of them have a 1 GB RAM and a Dual-Core processing unit. The BlackBerry 4G PlayBook counts with a little bit better camera than Sony Tablet P, and although they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the BlackBerry 4G PlayBook also has a much higher (Full HD) video definition.

Sony Tablet P counts with a really longer battery performance than BlackBerry 4G PlayBook.

Sony Tablet P costs a little more than BlackBerry 4G PlayBook, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
