Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a lot better than the BlackBerry PlayBook, with a 67.9 score against 54.2. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a much newer portable tablet, and it's also much thinner and a bit lighter than BlackBerry PlayBook. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with Android 4.4 operating system, while BlackBerry PlayBook has BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better processor than BlackBerry PlayBook, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM and a higher number of cores. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant screen than BlackBerry PlayBook, because it has a bigger display, a much better 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and a lot greater quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.
BlackBerry PlayBook shoots slightly better photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, although it has a worse (Full HD) video quality and a camera with a way lower 5 megapixels resolution.
