Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has an overall score of 58.1, which is just a bit better than BlackBerry PlayBook's global score of 54.2. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 works with Android 4.0.4 operating system, and BlackBerry PlayBook comes with BlackBerry Tablet OS operating system. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 construction is extremely heavier but somewhat thinner than the BlackBerry PlayBook, and both were released only a couple of months apart.
BlackBerry PlayBook has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same number of cores, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a graphics co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a bit sharper display than BlackBerry PlayBook, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 800 x 1280 and a really bigger screen.
BlackBerry PlayBook has a much greater memory for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has more internal storage. The BlackBerry PlayBook has a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has faster 30 frames per second video frame rates and a camera with a much better resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a very superior battery lifetime than BlackBerry PlayBook.
Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than BlackBerry PlayBook, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the BlackBerry PlayBook. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the BlackBerry PlayBook, and give up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
