The Sony Tablet S is slightly better than BlackBerry PlayBook, with a general score of 57.5 against 54.2. The Sony Tablet S comes with Android 4.0 OS, and BlackBerry PlayBook counts with BlackBerry Tablet OS OS. Sony Tablet S is a way heavier and just a bit thicker tablet than BlackBerry PlayBook.

BlackBerry PlayBook counts with a bit superior processing unit than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM memory and 2 cpu cores, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has an additional graphics processor. The BlackBerry PlayBook has a bit sharper display than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a lot smaller display and a way worse resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels, it also counts with a little bit higher screen pixels density.

The BlackBerry PlayBook counts with a bit bigger memory for apps and games than Sony Tablet S, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Sony Tablet S has a way better battery lifetime than BlackBerry PlayBook. BlackBerry PlayBook counts with a little bit better camera than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have a 5 mega-pixels resolution back camera, the BlackBerry PlayBook also has a way better video quality.

Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the BlackBerry PlayBook, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as BlackBerry PlayBook. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the BlackBerry PlayBook, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your money.
