The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is a bit better than the Blackview OSCAL Pad 18, getting a 66.2 score against 66.1. Despite of the fact Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 is way older and just a bit thicker than Blackview OSCAL Pad 18, it's design is still lighter. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a more recent 4.4.2 version while Blackview OSCAL Pad 18 has Android 13 version, so it gives a couple additional features.
The Blackview OSCAL Pad 18 features a greater hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with a higher amount of RAM and more CPU cores. The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a slightly better looking display than Blackview OSCAL Pad 18, although it has a really smaller screen, a much lower 1280 x 800 resolution and a little bit less pixels per inch of screen.
The Blackview OSCAL Pad 18 shoots better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back. The Blackview OSCAL Pad 18 features a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Blackview OSCAL Pad 18 counts with a much better battery life than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because it has an 8800mAh battery capacity.
