Comparison review
Galaxy Tab 7.7 has a global score of 64.8, which is a bit better than the Dell Venue 8 7840's general score of 61. Although it's the best in this review, Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a extremely thicker and a bit heavier device than Dell Venue 8 7840. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab 7.7 has the older 4.0.4 version and Dell Venue 8 7840 has Android 4.4 version.
Dell Venue 8 7840 has a brighter display than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has much more pixels per screen inch, a way better resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a bit bigger screen. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 has just a bit bigger memory to install games and applications than Dell Venue 8 7840, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports 480 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal memory.
Dell Venue 8 7840 counts with a much powerful CPU than Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a higher amount of RAM, a much better 600 megahertz graphics processor, a higher number of faster cores and a 64-bit CPU. Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a much better battery duration than Dell Venue 8 7840. Dell Venue 8 7840 shoots much better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 7.7, because it has a camera in the back with much more mega pixels.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Dell Venue 8 7840, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Dell Venue 8 7840. If you want to save some dollars, you can get Dell Venue 8 7840, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
