Google Pixel Slate has a global score of 79.3, which is much better than Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s overall score of 70.8. The Google Pixel Slate construction is extremely newer and somewhat thinner than the Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s, but it's also a lot heavier. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS operating system, and Google Nexus 7 (2013) comes with Android 5.0 operating system.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a bit more vivid display than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a lot more opaque screen, a way lower resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a bit greater display pixels density. Google Nexus 7 (2013) has just a little better performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and 2 more 1.5 gigahertz cores.

The Google Pixel Slate shoots way better pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rate, the Google Pixel Slate also has a way larger diafragm aperture and a back facing camera with lot more MP. Google Pixel Slate counts with much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a much better battery duration than Google Pixel Slate.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Google Nexus 7 (2013). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Google Nexus 7 (2013), letting go some features and specs.
