The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has an overall score of 70.8, which is slightly better than the Galaxy Tab 4 8.0's overall score of 66.2. Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s construction is a bit thicker but a little lighter than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, and they were released only 8 months apart. These tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a more recent 5.0 version and Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, giving you a couple additional features.
The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a sharper display than Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a much higher pixel count per inch of screen. Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 features a slightly bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 64 GB.

The Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 has a bit superior battery duration than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 13% greater battery capacity.
