Google Nexus 7 (2013) is just a bit better than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, with a overall score of 69.5 against 66.5. Although Google Nexus 7 (2013) and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 were only released with a couple months difference, Google Nexus 7 (2013) is a little bit lighter and thinner. These devices have Android OS, but the Google Nexus 7 (2013) has the newer 5.0 version and Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has Android 4.4.2 version, so it provides you some nice extra features and performance improvements.
The Google Nexus 7 (2013) and the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 have quite similar CPUs, because although the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has less RAM memory and an inferior number of cores (but faster), it also counts with a better GPU. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Google Nexus 7 (2013) also has a lot higher display density and a way higher 1200 x 1920 resolution.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 counts with a very superior storage capacity to store more games and applications than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage, the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 64 GB. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) counts with a greater camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, because it has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 features just a little better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3950mAh.
Google Nexus 7 (2013) costs a little more money than the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
