The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a global score of 61.2, which is just a bit better than Google Nexus 7's 59.3 global score. Both of these tablets use Android OS (operating system), but the Asus MeMO Pad 8 has an older 4.4 version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a newer tablet, and it is also lighter and notably thinner than the Google Nexus 7.

Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a little more vivid display than Google Nexus 7, because it has a higher amount of pixels per display inch, a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a quite larger screen. Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Google Nexus 7, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 64 GB.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a bit better CPU than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, and they both have 4 CPU cores, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also counts with a higher amount of RAM. Google Nexus 7 features a way better battery lifetime than Asus MeMO Pad 8.

Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Google Nexus 7. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Google Nexus 7, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
