The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has an overall score of 62.5, which is a bit better than Google Nexus 7's 59.3 global score. These tablets use Android OS, but LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus has a more recent 7.0 Nougat version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version, offering lots of additional features and performance enhancements. The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus body is much newer, incredibly thinner and somewhat lighter than Google Nexus 7.

The LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus features just a bit better hardware performance than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The Google Nexus 7 features just a bit better looking screen than LG G Pad X II 8.0 Plus, although it has a bit smaller display, a bit lower amount of pixels per display inch and a lot lower resolution of 800 x 1280.
