Microsoft Surface Go has an overall score of 66.5, which is better than Google Nexus 7's general score of 59.3. The Microsoft Surface Go works with Windows 10 operating system, and Google Nexus 7 works with Android 5.1 operating system. Microsoft Surface Go's construction is newer and somewhat thinner, but notably heavier than Google Nexus 7.

Google Nexus 7 counts with a more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Go, although it has a way smaller screen and a lot worse resolution of 800 x 1280, they both have the same display pixels density. The Microsoft Surface Go's CPU is very similar to the processor in Google Nexus 7, because although the Microsoft Surface Go has doesn't have a graphics co-processor and a lower number of cores , it also counts with a higher amount of RAM.

The Microsoft Surface Go features a way better camera than Google Nexus 7. Microsoft Surface Go features a way bigger memory for games and applications than Google Nexus 7, because it has more internal storage. Google Nexus 7 has a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Go.

Although Microsoft Surface Go is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Google Nexus 7.
