Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a general score of 65.9, which is better than the Google Nexus 7's score of 59.3. Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch's construction is newer and extremely thinner, but also a lot heavier than Google Nexus 7. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has older 4.2 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1.
The Google Nexus 7 features a sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a better quantity of pixels per screen inch. The Google Nexus 7 counts with just a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM, the Google Nexus 7 also has a higher number of cores (although slower) and an extra GPU.

So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, else you can save some dollars and get the Google Nexus 7, giving up a couple features and specs.
