Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a general score of 70, which is better than Google Nexus 7's score of 59.3. Galaxy Tab Active 2's design is much newer and just a bit thinner, but also somewhat heavier than the Google Nexus 7. These tablets work with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy Tab Active 2 has newer 9.0 Pie version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with just a bit better processing power than Google Nexus 7, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores and 2 GB more RAM. Google Nexus 7 features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a quite greater pixel count per inch in the display.
Galaxy Tab Active 2 features a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Google Nexus 7, because although it has only 16 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes way better pictures and videos than Google Nexus 7.
The Galaxy Tab Active 2 counts with a little better battery lifetime than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 4450mAh battery size.
Although Galaxy Tab Active 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab Active 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Google Nexus 7, letting go a couple specs and features.
